Robert (Hap) Hazard passed away June 19th 2021 peacefully at home at the age of 91. He was preceded in death in 2009 of his wife Yvonne of 59 years of marriage. Hap had a 22 year career in Naval Aviation. ADJC(AC) Jet Mechanic working on Aircraft Carriers. He was a resident of Lions Lair in Marathon, Florida since 1991. Jokingly called the Mayor of our little community Hap was the “Go To” guy, good friend and neighbor to everyone. If you needed something he would have it for you or find it for you. He was Loved and Respected by many and will be truly Missed.
Even though Hap wasn't part of our official family, he will be remembered as the "Uncle" who would do anything for you. On the occasion of retirement from the USAF, Hap celebrated with me and my family as we shared stories about our time in Service to our great country. Hap had a great sense of humor with a wicked, quick wit! He cared about people, his community and the US. If we had more Hap's in this world, all the current daily drama would subside and the world would be a better place. Godspeed to you, Hap. With utmost respect, Walt "Wally" Brecevic
