Michael P. Krutulis  Jr. was born in Hialeah Fl. and passed away on December 4, 2021. Mike joined Miami Dade Police in 1970. He worked the streets, was a detective, and later on marine patrol where he retired. Mike earned many certificates and citations. He was also a police diver and earned his PADI Master Diver certificate. Mike was awarded the department Bronze Medal of Valor for his performance during the operation of the crash of Value Jet 592 in the glades.

Mike was most at home in the outdoors. He loved running his airboat and frogging at night. Mike enjoyed hunting in the glades, Ga. and Mi. Everywhere we traveled he had a fishing rod with him. He loved the Keys and started fishing off the bridges when he was younger and, on several boats, we had through the years. Even though he was a hunter he had a great love for animals. He had many pets from pigeons, alligator, snakes, prairie dog, fish and many dogs.

After retiring he traveled the country in our motorhome with his wife Hollis, and dogs. He joined the Elks and enjoyed volunteering for many events especially in the kitchen where we had a great team. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Hollis and dogs, Megan and Brandi.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Elks Lodge #1872, 92600 Overseas Hwy. on Feb 26,2022 at 11:00. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Fl. Elks Childrens Therapy Service or the Key Largo Humane Society.
