Holly Jean Moloney Trejo , 67, of Key Largo Florida, died on Sunday May 2, 2021. She was the wife of John C. Trejo. Holly was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on December 22, 1953, the only child of James B. Moloney and Jean Rita (Smith) Moloney who have both predeceased Holly.

Holly was a 1971 graduate of Lowell High School and achieved her Bachelor of Science in Social Studies from Lowell State College in 1975. Holly was a dedicated teacher who enriched the lives of innumerable students including home schooling her youngest child Catherine through sixth grade. Holly was a long standing member of the Daughters of the American Revolution Florida Keys Chapter.

Holly devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed traveling, the beach, reading, dining and Days of our Lives! She was a very private person but will always be remembered for her witty humor and her generous compassion for taking in so many friends when they needed it the most.

Holly is survived by her husband John, her daughter Tara M. Trejo and Tara’s husband Rick S. Jamison of Tavernier, FL, daughter Catherine M. Cotera and her husband Ornel A. Cotera and their son Ornel C. Cotera of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Holly’s son James A. Trejo of Miami, FL and her close friends Erika Lee Whitley and Bridget J. Corey of Key Largo, and numerous other friends.
