Molly Booth

Molly Reagle Booth, age 73, of Key Largo, FL passed away peacefully on February 16, 2018 with her husband Jim at her side.

She was born on November 21, 1944 in Beaver Falls, PA, but grew up in Parkersburg, WV, where she graduated from Parkersburg High School class of 1961. She received her AA from Sullins Jr. College for Women in Bristol, VA; her BA in English and Literature from WV University in 1965; and her MA in Psychology and Counseling from Seattle University in 1975. She moved to Murray, KY, in 1976 where she raised her family, and worked as a personal family counselor. She was instrumental in the formation and growth of WATCH Inc., as 1st chairman of the board and pioneer in fundraising. She was named Citizen of the Year by the Murray Chamber of Commerce for her contributions to the community.

In 1992 she decided to further pursue her love of nature, where she worked at Flamingo Lodge as a tour guide. She volunteered for the Everglades National Park as a wildlife interpreter and participated in various wildlife studies. In 1993 she met Jim McHugh and they moved to Key Largo together in 1997 and found their dream home in Silver Shores in 2000.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Ted and Pat Reagle; and her step-mother Jeanne Reagle.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Jim McHugh of Key Largo, FL; the father of her children Jim Booth of Murphysboro, TN; her son Ted Booth and daughter Vair Taylor both of Murray, KY; 4 grandchildren: Rett, Delaney, Cheyenne, and Anzley; step-brother James Dake, and step-sister Jeanne Vair Dake.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 12 noon-2:00 pm at Allen-Beyer Funeral Home, 101640 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, FL. A celebration of life reception will follow at 4pm at their home in Silver Shores.
