On July 12, 2015, Barbara Jean Dyer of Marathon, FL, was called home by our Heavenly Father. She passed peacefully at Homestead Hospital after a long battle of cancer. Barbara was born in Greeley, Colorado to William and Sondra Owensby on July 24, 1961. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was also an avid animal lover. Barbara was preceded in death by her father William Roy Owensby. She is survived by her mother Sondra Wilson of Hendersonville, NC; her son Jerry Duckworth, Jr. of OH; her daughter Melissa Norman, son-in-law Jerry Norman, and her 6 grandsons all of Key Largo, FL; her sisters Betsy Stallkamp of OH; Judy Wilder of Ft. Myers, FL; Brenda Goodridge of Leigh, FL; DeAnna Wison of Hendersonville, NC; and her half brother and sister Billy Owensby & Breena Williams of NC; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. A Celebration of Life will be held at Allen-Beyer Funeral Home in Key Largo, FL, on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 2pm-5pm. Followed by spreading her ashes in NC at a later date.
